Can't add friends

I just got the game with my GF, and we both gave eachother the friend code to add friends, but we don't see eachother on the list, and when we try to send again, it says we already have a pending invite.

We would accept the invite if it showed. Nothing is showing any invites.
Also tried refreshing and restarting game, did not fix anything.

This sounds obvious, but make sure that requests are enabled for the recipient

hey i got the same problem but i fixed it :) you need to click on your profile icon up left of the screen, and select online instead of offline. do it for both of you and relaunch the game :) you should see the request in few minuites after the relaunching :)
