What improvements does this game have over the mobile version?
It is double the price, so I assume it must be double the bloonness, right?

From what I can tell, there is next to no difference. Unlike the Bloons TD 5 PC port, this one does not give you the IAPs for free. The keybinds are even worse, you only have keybinds for tower upgrades and start/stop. The mouse even works like it's a touchscreen. (no mouse hover or right clicking)

I'd avoid it if you were expecting something better.

It's the same as mobile. The big upside is that now Bloons TD 6 is cross-platform so when you backup your progress it is the same on Steam as it is on your tablet/phone.

if you click the cog wheel in a game you can set the mouse to click and drop instead of drag and drop, on click and drop hotkeys for placeing towers are enabled, this shows all the hotkeys https://pastebin.com/0Q85SRAV

there are hotkeys for placing towers, but they are not shown in-game

Twice the price, double the fall.

Very disappointed. I loved BTD5 on steam and was looking forward to this one coming. Too bad NinjaKiwi seem to be looking for cash grabs in every way now. Lazy port with all IAPs the same as mobile.

Sadly, I won't be purchasing it anytime soon, until the major issues are fixed . If this shows how the devs are moving, BTD5 may be my last Bloons game.

NK doesn't really seem like a "cash grabs" type of company. Many of us have been looking forward to a Steam release and many of us want the games to be uniform because that means it can be cross-platform. Also, their support is better than any company I have experienced. They are always quick to respond and gave me a refund on BTD6 mobile when I had it for months because the game just wasn't' going to be compatible. That's hardly a cash grab mentality. On my next device I'll be getting BTD6 again so I can play it on both platforms.

This 100%
NK isn't an Epic Games, or Valve. They don't have billions to be wasting, there's nothing you need to buy. There are keybinds for every tower, you can change the mouse drag stuff, it's overall way better then the mobile version and not a 'lazy port'
Seriously, have you played for more then 6 minutes to discover things or do you hate this company that much?

Also, the PC port just came out, I'm sure there will be lots of updates to make the experience better for everyone. Just give it time.

I will be getting this right away because late-game is laggy as heck on mobile and bluestacks.
Most of the issues listed don't matter to me.

at least the IAPs aren't as bad as EA's. be thankful for that.

And it is a $10 game with ongoing development. There is going to be IAP. At least that IAP isn't required at all to get the full experience. It's basically just a way to show NK support and get something cool for it.

Ok if they improve this game I will buy it, I loved TD5 on the pc, I dont want to pay twice for a simple mobile port. Is co-op still not a thing?
Woshee Dec 18, 2018 @ 4:55pm
co-op is coming at some point. Let the devs take thier time.

to quote Miamoto (idk how to spell his name) "a delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is forever bad". I'd rather wait 3 months for an update done right then 3 rushed updates in that same amount of time.
