BTD6 saves locally (on your pc) AND online (via Ninja Kiwi account). Steam allows saves for games at the dev's discretion, though I'm not sure of the pricing, but not all steam games utilize an online save via steam. BTD6 is one of those games. Ninja Kiwi account is needed.

IF you made an account in btd6 using steam in the options for the first time you played, you can recover using steam.
