Why does nobody use Dart Monkey late game?

Literally my Sharpshooters and Crossbow Masters are late game towers and Dart Monkeys at the same time! ( I also do some nice combo with them so that might be a important factor in this argument )

In all seriousnees, they are NOT good late-game towers at all. Even 2 Crossbow Masters struggle a lot in the 80s

Because there is better options

They are good, especially with top path village, but generally there are just better options, especially if you're going into the REALLY late rounds

I usually just combo them with a 4-2-0 druid and a heli at 2-3-0 and a hero... otherwise I dont know why everybody else isnt good with Dart Monkey late game and I am...

You can unlock a extra in the knowledge tree so you can have two xx5 crossbow masters

Note: 1 crossbow master + alchemist 420 with village 300 can solo all up to round 92
(on most maps and all games modes) except double hp moabs + alternate bloon round

They are very powerful but they don't typically resolve round 98/100 so you need to build differently rather than sinking the funds into those little guys.

I just did round 85,86, and 87 in sandbox with only a 0-2-5 and 0-2-4 dart monkey set as my towers... I still beat it... ( no abilities or support or anything legit just those towers in good positions )

Update: I did that same setup but with two 0-2-4 dart monkeys + level 12 swordmaster and it got to level 91

Dart monkeys fill neiche roles and are simply not as good as other towers. Plasma Monkey Fanclub is really expensive, so other cheaper towers are better options (for example Prince of Darkness). The bottom path Crossbow master is a complete waste of money. U-jug however is really good on maps where the juggernaut balls can bounce off obstacles. Think of maps like Mesa and Moon Landing. I like to use it whenever I can, for the fun of it.

I totally agree with this but then again the lower the price the lower the power supposedly would be Plasma Monkey Fanclub however... is just a really bad idea for a upgrade but then again so are precious Alchemist towers not on the top path in comparison to the top path.
