It won't let me play offline

Since one of the latest updates, the game won't let me play when my computer is offline. And this game has been my thing when the connection fails.
Is there a work-around this, can I change the settings somehow? Is this a bug? Or are they meanig to force us to always be online when we play?

yeah same, it was possible to play offline and since some moment not anymore
