What I personally want for MK is some of the 'abilities' to be able/disabled. Like the Druid of the Forest "explosion" ability or the Dartling gunner "lockon" ability as another, would like to be able to enable/disable that. Because I don't like the Druid of the Forest one at all, so I never spent the point for it.
Reset the MK tree and don't spend points on them
They sell monkey knowledge points for real money, just like they sell monkey money for real money
They won't let you convert between since they would rather have you be high on one and low on the other and still have incentive to buy whichever you were low on with real money rather than convert and not be incentivized to do so
It comes down to the simple fact that you can without buying anything get more than enough MK to unlock everything, but that would mean every single person who spent real money for MK is going to have that much more extra MK beyond that
Those same people who are already throwing cash at the game would have less incentive to spend real money for monkey money if they could convert all those extra MK
Just as example I have I think 7 extra MK, and I never bought MK with real money. If someone had spent $8 for 10 MK and then played as much, they would have at least 17 MK left over, that's a real money sink if it can't be converted. You want that extra $8 of monkey money? gotta spend real money for it (or grind it out)
What you are asking for would negate the real money trap of buying MK, because you are guaranteed to end up with extra MK if you ever spend real money (you already do even if you don't spend it)
I don't particularly care, I have all the MK unlocked, if I don't want to use an ability I just don't use it
I said I don't care, I never said it shouldn't change
Those are very different things
You don't seem capable of actually following the thread of the conversation, nor did you understand either of my comments
The tangent you are arguing over was already off topic to the thread genius. I'll try explaining it for you since you seem to be a little slow.
Thread topic: Extra Monkey Knowledge = useless
Suggestion (not by me) related to thread topic: convert MK to monkey money
My ON TOPIC comment is in post #9 https://steamcommunity.com/app/960090/discussions/0/3200367300183186482/?tscn=1639147565#c3200367934435804126
You didn't respond to this.
You want to stay on thread topic? Talk about that or respond directly to the OP and not to me at all.
----
Now let's talk about the off topic tangent YOU want to argue over.
SEPERATE from the actual thread topic was a comment (not from you) in post #6, here I'll quote it for you:
He already didn't spend the point on an ability he doesn't want to use. This really has nothing to do with the thread topic (of having extra points). He wants a toggle so he can spend the points but disable the abilities he doesn't want to use.
All I did in an off hand comment in passing was note you can already sort of do that, you have MK reset which lets you spend and then remove points to redo the tree.
I offered no conversation about whether that should be changed to be more convenient. I didn't argue for it or against it. I simply noted a convoluted method to do what he wants already exists.
In response to that, YOU pointlessly decided to take it even further off topic, you weren't even the person I was commenting at and the tangent was already off topic, in which you said and I quote along with my response:
Now wake up and realize:
1. This is already off thread topic
2. I wasn't responding to you in my original comment
3. I said I don't care, because I DON'T care about a solution to that problem
Not caring about a solution to an issue is not the same as arguing for or against it. I'm neutral towards any changes related to that. But you couldn't handle that and decided to attack over something you failed to understand, and I quote:
1. I never said "no one should have it" You failed at reading or understanding
2. This is already off topic to the thread, my original comment that you're derailing with was not even directed at you
3. I explained this for you and you double down with:
You took the thread off topic. you're making an argument over something that wasn't under debate in the first place. And you still failed at comprehending that "not caring" is not the same as being for or against something.
I don't need to take a stand for or against having a toggle for MK abilities. Mostly because, this thread had nothing to do with that as a topic, and because: I do not care, nor am I required to care if how it works currently is changed.
My original two comments in this thread were just that, comments on how things currently work.
1. On topic in post #9 about why the developers aren't likely to add the ability to transfer MK into monkey money (go read the post if you want to stay on topic) and
2. Off topic in response to someone who wanted to be able to toggle abilities given from MK, to which I simply noted you sort of can by resetting your MK tree. Did I say that was ideal? No, Did I say it can't be changed? No, I didn't offer any insight one way or another on how or why it should be changed.
You latched onto an off hand off topic comment to try and insist that I said something I didn't say and then demanded I'm the one taking the thread off topic?
Either you're trolling or you have terrible reading comprehension.
You want to stay on topic? Discuss the actual thread topic, which is: Extra Monkey Knowledge = Useless
You want to keep attacking me over your made up nonsense argument? Go scream at a wall.
