The main thing about bosses is farming though, you can get to a strong economy by getting out an early 0/3/0 druid (for the roots ability) and trying to get about 5-6 markets before bloonarius comes up. You can then sell those and buy what you need to kill, after the T1 kill sell some damage towers and kickstart your economy either with merchant buccaneers (trade empire first) or making a small monkeyopolis (absorbing 2 central markets for example).
It's worth a couple of tries for sure. It will only help you get further in the future. I would try focusing on getting a strong early economy with Benjamin. See if you can survive to round 40 and have 5-6 markets up about 3 rounds before Bloonarius shows up with the 0/3/0 druid early on. If you can manage that you have set yourself up for success.
Selling markets to buy damage towers when Bloonarius shows up, and selling some damage towers to get back economy after he's dead makes things much easier. You can never have enough economy in these boss fights, and monkeyopolis and trade empire often are central to that. Beyond that its just knowing which towers do good boss damage for their cost. I personally like Sticky Bomb, Overdrive/Tack Zone (village + alch buffed + ice monkey embrittlement), Avatar druid with 5 poplusts, village and alchemist buffs), M.A.D Dartling (buffed), Dart Monkey Paragon -> All other paragons.
If you've built Trade empire and a merchant buccaneer fleet in the water around the centre you can spend money to open some of the walls to the middle area (you can click on it and spend 2000, all 4 sides can be opened but maybe you dont need to straight away). With grape shot and a few fire shot upgrades they'll take care of most rounds early on.
If necessary you can also position a 2/4/0 (and later 2/5/0) sniper so it can shoot into the centre (even easier once one of the walls is opened).
For tier 2 I suggest you build a 0/2/5 Avatar of Wrath druid with 5 poplusts and an alchemist + Village closest to him (so he gets the berserker brew). This means you'd need to get up to 70k so pump economy first. After that your goals will be M.A.D, Dartling paragon then adding the other paragons for the final tier.
T1 - 502 dart + 104 ninja
T2 - same thing, maybe we did more (I forgor)
T3 - flagship with embrittlement and tack zone on it (kept UJug)
T4/5 - dart paragon (it literally solos)
UJug took middle spot the whole time btw
also we were on ranked and had to retry T1 a few times to get it right
