If I disable Monkey Knowledge, open Workshop map, Hard Sandbox.
Place desired tower, then start Stopwatch, spawn Ghost bloon. (No Fast Forward, Round 3)
1) Permaforst effect (can sell Ice after first freeze)
19 seconds to leak
2) Glue across the track instead
14 seconds to leak
3) Keep Glue on screen but do (1) again
35 seconds to leak
Round 300 single MOAB
1) 0-1-5 Icicle Impale
14 seconds to leak
2) 0-1-5 Icicle Impale + 0-X-4 MOAB Glue
22 seconds to leak
They stack.
Then I will keep placing them together, many thanks.
The main purpose of low tier Ice is for stalling Ceramic/Super Ceramic. If you use Permaforst + Re-Freeze, it is not gonna work (unless you intend to use Ice Shard effect).
0-1-2 is the best crosspath to stall.
When you want stall, you need to lock bloons at a position as long as you can without overpop. It can buy you ability cooldown time, and modify the wave's density (Seperate/group).
Glue generally can't stall due to lack of Re-Freeze. 0-3-2 Glue can only let Super Ceramics group up, slowly travel around.
...and Super Glue is just outright awkward.
0-2-5 Super Glue ($33334)
+ Stun regular Moab and DDT
- 5 seconds only, and cannot re-glue immediately
- No actual damage/Cannot remove the threats
- $7042 more expensive
- Top crosspath is helpless in R81+ even Tier 5 itself has pierce buff
- 0-1-4 or 0-2-4 already does the job
0-1-5 Icicle Impale ($26292)
+ Basically fixing every (-) in Super Glue
+ $7042 more cheaper
- Poor at hyperdense rounds if not enough lesser Moab/S. Ceramics cleanup
- 0-1-2 Re-Freeze can lock S. Ceramics on place already
- Commonly misunderstood it as aggressive Moab popper (the control role is selling point)
If your issue is Super Ceramics, cheaper options will do such as Alch + Spike Balls, Downdraft + Re-freeze, Ground Zero, and Hero.
Plus, Bloon Solver can only reliably clean Super Ceramics, not lesser MOAB, no global targeting (unlike Spectre and Intel Sub) which is crucial in harder maps.
As far as ice and glue are concerned together it is a bad idea for the simple reason that neither are going to slow down a bad. There is no need to try and over kill on the slow.
Also while talking about glue some fun thing is that glue strike raises the damage balloons take from sources by 1. It does not slow down blimps however it can have some fun uses for cheap cost.
Similar things go by why Glue Strike/Glue Storm over Super Brittle and Cripple MOAB. It needs Corrosive Glue to affect MOAB, though. Is tier 4 sufficient for the job?
That said I would generally not consider buying a 0-2-4 moab glue over spending as it is not that costly compared to have much money you get. Ice is another story as you need more than tier 3 to effect moabs. They do however have some damage in addition to make up for this and I think super bristle damage boost actually does work on BAD.
I just find pairing MOAB Glue to mid path T4+ is generally awkward, bcs there are many anti-ceramic options really just overshadowing the need of sacrificing the capability to amplify more MOAB dmg.
