I have this same error
While I don't have a preexisting account on another platform… I can't do Daily Challenges nor access other features without an account. Accessing the account instantly gives me a "code 101" error — seems like it's not even attempting to reach a server… or it's quickly getting an error message from the server. This has been happening for the last 48 hours. No other game I have is having internet access problems in that same amount of time.... (and no, I don't have a trigger-happy outbound connection blocker)

I think I properly linked my Steam account when I clicked on the top left corner thing it asked me to select method of authentification or something like that, I selected Steam and now it seems my Steam account is linked to the game.

But the Account button in Settings doesn't work. The save button seem to work but I don't really know what is its purpose as the game auto saves everything.
My router was blocking ALL ICMP connections (inbound and outbound); If you open outbound ICMP connections -- which is needed due to Ninja Kiwi's shortsightedness -- my advice is to, at least, make sure any inbound ICMP connections are still block;
First it was some questionable UI design (when does the game explain there are different damage types and damage immunities?); now, some questionable networking "prowess".

When I disabled my firewall, I was able to access my account; however leaving my firewall on and allowing ICMP only for BloonsTD6.exe as well as Cleaner-BTD6.exe doesn't work. Any idea what else is missing? I shouldn't have to disable my firewall just for accessing this page but I don't know where to begin figuring out what connections it's trying to establish.
When I go to Settings / Account :
"Unavailable: Requires an Internet 101 connection."
This means that I can't play with my progress on PC, even though I paid for this game...
While it was still working a few weeks ago...
If someone has an idea ?
