What hero should I save for?

Just got the game, don't wanna save up for ages to spend 5k on a hero i dont like.

favourite towers are sniper, sub, farm, and helicopter. I like the druid guy so far but the tank and sub heroes look fun.

sauda is op right now, benjamn is nice if you like going for greedy money strats, i wouldnt go with the water monkey since its too conditional, imo go for saude or keep druid for now and wait a bit

Etienne is the best hero.

churchill (tank hero) is a lot of fun and super strong. he also requires a little more planning than the others since he's more expensive and you can't just put him down first round.

etienne is great especially if you hate camos.

I went for churchill, he costs 2k but is always my highest popping monkey on the field prior to getting sun gods and techno terrors

Well yes, that's because he provides very little else beyond pure damage, so he has to be good at it.

Sauda is extremely strong, has free camo detection from the start (very good for alternative bloons mode) and is cheap enough you can get very early on.
Bricknell is decent in her own right and provides support for water based monkeys.
Pat is great for stalling MOABs and syngerises well with high speed low damage towers (e.g. Tack Zone).
Ben is free money but provides no direct damage and has a somewhat high cost.
Etienne is very flexible, provides camo detection to every tower and has full map coverage with his level 10 (permanent at 20) allowing him to do a lot of damage.

Adora is generally considered to be pretty weak outside of 101+ freeplay (I believe).
Ezili I've never really figured out.

I am by no means an expert but i always find Ezili to be good for co-op, but she seems to not do that much stuff directly and quickly. Her abilities just make the waves easier overall, works well together with Adora for freeplay.

Because Ezili is a hero designed to counter special type of bloons. She seems unappealing among most players bcs they simply don't enjoy using abilities to control the battlefield, when brute force option works most of the time.

She happens to be a cheap counter to non-Purple bloons, guaranteed BAD destroyer (lv 20), but splash, other 2 abilities just fall into very niche spot to be actually useful. She works well with Adora not bcs of Freeplay, but ability to cover decent range. It is still a poor synergy, so it is best to just let Ezili or Adora absorb all exp instead.

Get Brickell if you are a fan of navy and "water-VTSG" Freeplay player. Ezili and Adora is not as good as Ezili and Brickell.

Brickell can improve the quality of your current navy so you are not forced to purchase camo, lead and DDT support sooner. It is possible to skip through MIB if you enjoy combo Sub-Commander with Pre-emptive Strike or Aircraft Carrier. If you like Heli, you can perform Downdraft or/and MOAB Shove instead of more expensive DPS to support Navy. Because Sub-commander strategy major weakness is low pierce against hyperdense rounds. Even a Maim MOAB could helps.

Naval Tactics is no longer a MIB skip. And actually, Gwen + Destroyer spam outclasses Brickell + Destroyer Spam
Still, Etienne is the best hero due to his immense high pierce burst dps from UCAV and strong drones that help at any stage of the game. He also combos very nicely with towers that clumps stuff like Impale or Dark Knight and is surperior on multipath maps due to full map coverage of UCAV. The camo village skip allows you to only use one village, a 202, which is pretty cost efficient too.
