Then, depend on what towers you used in Freeplay. Current strategy is Brickell + Carrier Flagship + water VTSG + Support Temple + all possible debuff and buff. Things like multiple Bloon Sabotage, Overclock and Call to Arms with different Tech Bot timing still applicable. But the problem is, will you add other things onto screen? Like Ray of Doom + MAD + bunch of BAD attacking power?
If you just add bunch of random tier towers into screen until it is full, it won't be surprising to see a crash. Even though I never seen a Submarine spam crash on my old mid spec gaming PC. At most just reduced to 30-45 FPS. I can go through Cubism without crash but gave up at Round 469. With typical said setup but older version, no Tier 5 Dartlings, no water VTSG + another 2 DPS Temple. Here is following specs:
- Updated Windows 10 and Graphic card driver
- 1920 x 1080 monitor, but game window reduced to Windowed 1280 x 720
- GTX 960 > GTX 1650
- i5-6400 CPU
- 8GB DDR3 RAM
- Fan cooling, no 60C on CPU/GPU is reported
Having screenshot, resolution, other info helps.
As an old TD enthusiast, I can told you one thing, that was my old mindset.
But BTD6 changed me a lot. It is one of the game that offers a lot of viable strategy, a gameplay that don't encouraging aggressive economy game plan, and more than just grinding medals with meta. I feel much more fun milking value of different upgrades than unlocking everything with meta and "overdosing".
I would agree that not a lot of players think of that way, but there isn't any other TD games that offer a solid good replay value.
My system is a desktop 9700k+3060Ti and my frames start dropping down from 144 at about round 110 usually. Depends on the strategy but typically it's around there.
Because running in different FPS could have different performance. This issues most likely happened in older games, but this game don't run well on resolution beyond 1920 x 1080 and multiple displays. FPS drop, freezing, crashing, odd performance can happen.
Using towers like Sky Shredder, Carrier Flagship, Sentry Paragon worsen Freeplay's performance. Because of instance counts and bottleneck from software. Just like old Minecraft version can never runs Ray Tracing.
On that note, any suggestions for a good tower defense game that does allow for "play as long as you can hold out" runs?
Thanks again.
It needs a 'turn off graphics' button.
