Small bloons achievement not working

so me and my friend were playing co op trying to get him the small bloons achievement and we got over 900,000 pops on the bloonmaster alchemist before round 100 but when he checked his achievements it said he was only 2% done with the achievement. We did it before where i was the one with the alchemist and it worked just fine. any ideas on why it isnt working for him?

btw he was player 2 i believe

I believe you can't get it on easy if this helps
also if you read what bloon master alchemist does, it transforms almost any bloon/moab into a red bloon, making it one single pop, needing you to face atleast 900,000 enemies constantly by the bloon master

works than it's most likely broken

No, because if that was the case, the achievement would be literally impossible.

The first time I tried this it didn't seem to count properly at all (despite eventually racking up 400mil pops in total towards the Populous achievement). I tried it again yesterday but messed up and leaked and it was then at 90%

Might work if you try again.
