I'm really confused.

I was playing free play like an hour ago.
And I got about 141 million pops. And that was really nice because that was the highest pop count i ever got.
But when I went to home and i clicked my profile.
It said I had only about 6 million pops in the "Total Pop Count".
I'm not sure if this should happen or not.
id I do something wrong? I want answers.

The damage made by a tower is not the same as pops made, and yes this is confusing
since you need to go to main menu to check pops from what i know

They should almost add this so it can be seen while playing, and also try update tower describtion better there are so many things not being told in game.

edit: many players will never know many of these things because its only a very small percentage there actually use the forums or go to wiki and youtube to search for answears (only around 2% of all steam users have used the forums)

So "Pop Count" is damage. And not pop?

Yes the numbers you see while playing a map is damage done and not pops made

A dart monkey completely destroys a green bloon. The dart monkey deals 3 damage as shown when you click it. However it registers as 1 pop.

as people pointed out, the number shown is the "damage done" while the actual pops mean individual bloons/blimps destroyed, so as you go to higher rounds and possibly get more dps, you will likely get less pops since you might be doing 1hit ko for some bloons and ignoring their children because you hit so hard
its really confusing and not properly explained, and i think one of the alchemist achievements even contradicts itself from the description it has to whats actually needed
