Which Banana Farm path is the most efficient?
Anyone know which banana farm path I should go if I want to make the most money per round? Thanks! :btd6thumbsup:

Alr, I was just saying, also, I did say I would test it later.
The test i did was made in 2019 so i dont know now :/
anyway when the difference in money amount are such small then it more comes down to which you like the looks of better i must say
Yea, I always go top when I am going to go full bottom.

That's someone's child, sir.
Top path farm gives the most money per round, but it takes active banana collection or a farmer. But I find a 2-3-0 bank usually is the best payout for the initial amount invested if you're playing up to round 100 and not trying to go farther. It takes the shortest time to pay for itself and start making profit, even though using the top path more generally will earn you more money overall if given time. There's really no point to 2-4-0, but having one 2-5-0 is worth it.
If you're playing a game up until round 100 (so any difficulty up until impoppable, not including CHIMPS), banks usually work well. If you plan to go beyond that, you're better off focusing the top path, and cross pathing with the middle (so a 520 farm alongside 420 farms for long freeplay games.) I almost never see a use for farms going the bottom path, unless it is a water focused map. In that case, I use merchantmen with a few 024 farms. Its a case by case scenario.

So:

Playing past round 100 in freeplay? Top path crossed with mid.

Not planning to go past 100? Middle path crossed with top. (Banks)

On a map with a LOT of water near the track? Go bottom crossed with middle (Markets.)

Bottom crossed with top actually gives more, but the difference is small, so it's mostly about looks instead of cash generation.

bottom with middle for tier three gives 16 more with monkey knowledge, without it's the same. However, for tier 4 (and tier 5) it gives 56 more with middle with knowledge, and 8 less without knowledge.
5-2-0 if you arent lazy is the best in the game

Type of Farm $ Made in 1 Round
2/0/3 Farm $320
0/2/3 Farm $312
2/0/4 Farm $1220
0/2/4 Farm $1212
2/0/5 Farm $5220
0/2/5 Farm $5212
Heres an update for you.

Path : Cost (medium) : 1round generation : cost per generation

No MK:
203 : $4450 : 400 : 11.12 <-- clear winner. better early build up, better t4+ upgrades
023 : $4450 : 400 : 11.12
204 : $19450 : 1400 : 13.89 <--
024 : $19450 : 1392 : 13.97

With MK
203 : $4450 : 400 : 11.12 <-- best early choice because of cashflow needs
023 : $4450 : 416 : 10.69 <-- best when you don't lose much during the wait
204 : $19450 : 1400 : 13.89
024 : $19450 : 1456 : 13.35
Banks are best but have to be managed (240 banks with deposits are broken but require per-round management)
320 farms are next but need to be managed/have a farmer
203 farms are the runner up because they have 0 management required (It's a common misconception that 023 are better, but the advantage is barely a $10 difference per round which will affect nothing in normal play. The only time the valuable bananas upgrade is more profitable to a noticeable degree is the 5th tier)

520 best farm
025 2nd best
250 3rd best (While deposits make it better, if you've gotten the 5th tier you won't need to be bothered to ever micro it efficiently, just spam the ability/get a tech bot)
420 4th best, even better with a 520 bank cause of the buff

I'll go get a few 420 farms with a farmer because no management is needed, it gives plenty of cash for whatever start I want to go for and the $50 cost is nothing when earning $400+

I do the same for co-op unless I'm running low on cash, then I get banks. Benjamin helps a lot too with his bank hack and massive early game income.

The common misconception is that either one is a clear best.
If you can get a 023 market in 1 round, you at most miss out on 400 (less from the build up process of course). At 16 per round advantage over the 203 crosspath, you need a maximum of 25 rounds after it is built to make up for that difference. After that is all net positive. If you're able to get it from a single income tick (end of round merchant spam for example) you need 0 rounds to break even.
203 is best at the start
023 is best when you can minimize losses during the build up

you also need knowledge for it to profit, without, 204 is better than 024, while 203 and 023 are the same. Oh yeah, and ummm... tier 5 gives same as tier 4 just adds a flat 4k at the end of each round.
