new and old towers?
Hey are there any towers that you want to see in game or returning to the game? If you have an idea for a tower then comment it as well as the three upgrade paths!

Dartling gun: a gattling gun that needs to rev up the gun before firing

lazer) faster rev speed - faster firing - lazer blaster - beam of doom - the vaporizer

missiles) damage up - bloontonium darts - rocket pod - hydra rockets - rocket swarm

ice) accuracy up - tracker - snowballs - glacial gattler - freeze array

Some of these upgrades are self explanitory but some aren't so I will clairify (note if the ugrade was in BTD5 I will not go over it unless I've made changes to it)

faster rev speed) the gun has less time before it starts to fire

lazer blaster) shoots lazer blasts instead of darts which inflict burning (these blasts act as energy and will not affect purple bloons)

the vaporizer) the beam is 3x as big as the beam of doom and does 2x damage at 2x times the speed

rocket swarm) ability is permanately active

tracker) the dartling gun will aim at the first bloon (even if it doresent have line of sight)

snowballs) will slow bloons and moabs (doesent affect white and zebra bloons)

glacial gattler) an ice beam that can freeze moab class bloons

freeze array) spawns mini glacial gattlers that all aim at what the (freeze array) is aiming at

The dartling gunner is already in the game files with its new crosspath together with the new monkey academy

i miss the spike-O-pult tower, from bloons tower defense 3. they should really bring that back in the game :(

I'd love to see the spike-O-pult make a return. Have the first path be the same as the dart monkey, the second path could leave shrapnel along the path (follows the path perhaps), or circular saws that follow along the path. The final path could be closer to the one from TD3 with a few more projectiles being launched every shot. With their ricochet system in TD6 having more could be fun, but this is a bit too close to the first path. So maybe they go more for size on the last path, a larger spiked ball that pops more layers than the other two paths and has a push-back.

But they'd need a new top path for dart monkeys. Aesthetically I was thinking a javelin thrower or an archer with a bow instead of a cross bow. Something slower than the cross-bow without straying too close to the middle path's multi-shot. Pops more bloons than the bottom path but doesn't shed as the bottom path, or maybe it does but doesn't have that crit ability so it has more consistent damage.

Then I think if they did a bloon chipper... it should go on the track. One path that targets the larger bloons, one that shreds more layers and more bloons more quickly. The ability I was thinking of was one that could pull the shredded bloons back towards the chipper, like putting it on reverse. It sucks bloons that have passed through back through and shoots them back up the path, closer to the entrance. Could have a "slowing" function for an increasing range per tier for bloons that it shreds. The bloon chipper would fit better on the path then off the path, since it moves bloons as it's main attack it's rather disruptive to the flow having it along the path rather than on. It would have a much more limited "range" but hits every bloon type.

dude the javelin thrower sounds pretty epic. quincy kinda already occupies the archer role but i really like the idea of a medieval knight monkey running bloons through with a halberd or a lance or something

idea for BTD7 time travel and possible story? monkeys start a plan to mass pop bloons. they interfere rimerift opens and you unlock certain towers/ upgrades as you progress (kinda like pvz 2) start in prehistoric times with a club monkey

but it isn't playable in the current game yet... also this was just a concept that I really want to see in BTD6.

I also miss the Dartling Gun. But the one from BTD5 flash version, not the one from Steam. The flash version Dartling Gun was a lot better on the highest upgrade.

spike-o-pult is there, it's 3rd upgrade top path like always

he didnt say the upgrade, he said the tower itself.
it existed back in BTD3 before becoming an upgrade to the dart monkey.

Some of these are similar to other towers.
Others don't really stand out.

Beekeeper - bees stick to and pop layers of bloons until bloons are gone, can't pop lead or frozen, hits regrow faster
Similar to a glue gunner, just doesn't have slow and the popping starts at base

Angry Squirrel - dart monkey but gets enraged upon losing lives can pop lead and camo
Dart monkey with bottom path Druid.

Meerkat Spy - nearby towers can pop camo, at pro status it can attack as well
Super Monkey Storm - power in BTD6 pro destroys towers as well.
Portable Lake - power in BTD6 - pro gains a tentacle attack activated ability
Pontoon - power in BTD6 - pro increases range of towers on it
Monkey Farmer - Power in BTD6 pro shot out banana peels that sent bloons back up the path
Bloonsday Device - a beam on a cool down that follows the mouse
Tribal Turtle - Throws a spear and a coconut, 2 bloons vs 5 bloons + lead, frozen extra damage to ceramics
Watermelon spitter - fast attack pro shoots out watermelons that pop lead and frozen

Mad Snowman - throws snowballs fast, but melts after 10 rounds, pro lasts 20 rounds shoots faster has an ability that can make it shoot even faster.
Frost monkey bottom path but shoots faster and only lasts 10-20 rounds

Radadactyl - 5 hatch, fly in a circle popping everything they pass over. Pro has bigger wings popping more bloons and last longer.
This kind of reminds me of Entienne.

Bloonberry bush - road spikes that regenerate over time pro has more that grow along the track
Druid middle path.
