Dartling Gun, why did they ruin it?
I really don't understand, why they make them move it so slowly. Know it's official unsuable on coop. It's even a ♥♥♥♥ on solo but on coop it's like to play a laggy-game.

Why the hell do you made the dartling gun slow ? It's a shame it was not available on BTD6 but it's even more a shame, you ruin the great tower by making the ability (moveable) useless.

And then you even make it more useless, when you use not the third upgrade path. It's like a punch in all the faces, who waited for the dartling gun. It's really funny how you made this tower since BTD5 Flash version worse and worse and know it's completly useless trash.

I wouldnt say its useless, it just needs some reworking.
Though itll probably get hard nerfed later

Not the best tower imo. It is undoubtedly slow. I like engineer the best.

people with older crappy computers are the ones having serious issues with the multiplayer
90% of the time I can go through a game fine maybe one person disconnects at the beginning and that's it

Upgrades cost too much for what they offer, it was good in btd5 but in btd6 there are so many better option for the same amount of money.

3xx (4590$) and 4xx (11880$) a total of 16390$ and can't even hit the purple bloons.

x3x (5670$) the best path... or the less worst path... is overall decent but again better option for the price

i remenber people complaining about the heli "fast darts" upgrade being useless and it is just 250$.... well with the dartling xx3 you need to spend 4320$ and the tower still can't hit the lead, lose a lot of range and attack speed.... basically 4320$ to watch all the pink and yellow pass...

xx4 (12960$) I never liked the manual aim so this is my favourite upgrade but... well... the dartling 024 cost a total of 21055$ and still need the support for the lead... not the best choice.

I find it to be pretty good, I'm not having to whip it around willy nilly like... ever, and usually keep it in locked mode anyways, the missiles are pretty good and typically my go to.

Well, it has gone from OP in BTD5 to Balanced in BTD6.

Every path got it's use, the swivel speed isn't even close to being a problem, if you know how to place your towers. Same for the Third Path. Yeah, it loses range. But it's the strongest path, really. Easy to buff (Alch buff it "more" than the others due to it's slower fire rate), it's relatively cheap.

This community seems to be used to getting hand fed, I swear.

The Tower is one of the strongest, the upgrades cost a lot, but are strong AF. I don't see the problem, for real.

yeah, atleast its not that absolutely horrendous 5xx spactory, jesus the community can be really petty someitmes.
i always found that a combo of 230 and 203 was always helpful

I like it. It's not op but balanced enough to use. I do use the bottom path more than the rest. Bottom both with alchemist and village can easy get you passed wave 100
Dartling Gunner is good but its really not a good starter tower....

i have just played several games and the game would be over
if you just relied on Dartling Gunner and nothing else....

try starting with a 2 0 1 ninja first kids... :btd6stunned:

I'll admit I havent tried BTD 5, but I have played 4 where dartling was one of my favourite. I can safely say that in btd6 the downsides given to dartling have made him more interesting and more fun. The swivel speed, being low at the start makes positioning at the start actually matter. You can't spam them out and then just follow mouse along bloons to win, unlike older variants.

I really like what NK did though as well and made each variant of dartling weaker in aspects, but stronger in others. top path makes it more useful on maps with long straight lines as well as for people that want to use the follow mouse option for max damage with a 4/x/x. Mid path is great overall damage dealer until x/5/x where it cuts off basically all of its ability to handle regular bloons for raw MOAB damage. The last path makes it a great autopilot tower, as well as being what I like to call a planner. A great position for an exclusion zone is not always a great, or even good one for a regular dartling. Overall this makes for a very nice change in pace where each path becomes better at a specific role or style, and weaker with others compared to most other towers which either are get a specific ability or do the tower but better in every way every upgrade. Only a few upgrades are ever "bad" (Im not considering bad as in picking other path is better, but as bad in making tower perform worse) and usually those are only ever in challenges that showcase under very specific circumstances how the upgrade makes things worse.

As for dartling not being able to pop certain bloons. Yea. That happens. Those special bloons are there to make sure that you diversify and make your defence good. Would be really boring game if you didn't have to worry about building defence for camo, lead, purple, ddts, and combinations of the above. Personally I feel the games more fun if x/3/x village isnt used, since its hard to come up with a combination of towers that can pop every combination of bloons, and very very easy to just slap a 2/3 or 2/2 village next to all of your towers and call it a day.

I never used the dartling gun much in BTD5 because until you had enough money for banks, you couldnt have your mouse free to collect those bananas (and i wasn't going to waste a special agent EVERY GAME just to do that for me.)


the new one can be locked without a specialty building tho, so i may use it more often

I did some sandbox testing for the dartling and I was impressed with the path 1 final upgrade but the path 2&3 final upgrades are horribly underpowered. 4-0-0 is absolutely useless. Adding Camo detection upgrade to a tower you manually aim defeats the purpose of why it wasn't necessary in BTD5. Depleted bloontonium darts has been changed from a tier 2 upgrade to a tier 4 upgrade, making path 3 incapable of independently taking down every bloon type. Rockets in path 2 also received a huge nerf. Once my favorite tower to use, I will likely never use dartling gunner in BTD6

i don't understand the big fuss, the dartling gun's swivel speed is just fine and doesn't need people whining about it... if you want a faster (but not needed) swivel speed, go for the bottom path.
