Still, I actually started a new account briefly a couple days ago and it really didn't take very long with ordinary game play.
Am trying to play with a friend but guess what? Screw me because i have to waste 30-50 minutes so i can bloody start playing.
I only have a limited amount of free time and don't want to waste it grinding so i can start
- haven't unlocked most / all upgrades
- doesn't fully know how to play the game, not experienced enough about what bloons will appear (ex: MOABs, camo lead, round 63 ceramics, round 76 ceramics, ...)
- doesn't have the right habits, might over greed or not building enough farm (if playing on hard mode / impoppable)
- isn't used to game terminology (ex: knowing that a "030" dart monkey mean to upgrade middle path 3 times).
Before playing with other players, you (and the game) need to be sure everyone know how to play. Just because YOU know how to play, it doesn't mean others / your friends will know (or at least not as much as you).
Finally, friendly reminder to avoid necro-ing 4 year old discussions just for something that's inevitable (eventually, players will need to unlock everything, which will likely make them level 20 automatically)
That is relative. If you are doing multiplayer with randoms and playing hard maps, then maybe that applies.
Then again, I do not see the point of fretting over it when single player would be better if you want full control and ensure best strategy is used, unless you are aiming for multiplayer medals on the harder maps.
But if you are just relaxing on an easier map, and/or playing with Steam Chat or other chat enabled, then teaching new players can be quite fun, especially if you already know each other in real life.
