Help for Logs 2 Tower Chimps

I've been trying to 2TC Logs with Archmage + Apache Prime for a while. It generally goes smoothly, but i never seem to collect enough money to get Apache Prime by round 98.

I've seen a 1 month old video of someone completing this with the same positioning and set up and they managed to get Apache Prime far earlier than round 98, so i'm unsure of what i am doing wrong.

Any insight would be appreciated.

As of this patch 2TC is probably impossible due to bug.

If you're dying to try, 2TC wouldn't be impossible, you'd just have to do a combo that's really cheap. A few 2TCs are so inexpensive you'd afford every needed upgrade before round 81. I'd recommend Stronger Stimulant + Sky Shredder, a 2TC so frugal every needed upgrade is afforded on round 62. It's not even the cheapest one, but it's a good balance between cost and ease.

It totally does! After the 16.0 and 17.0 Sky Shredder buffs, it's even easy. What part of it are you struggling with?

Sky Shredder does not hit yellows.
I tried it a dozen times, did not even get to round 40.

This is the Reddit post of the combo's original completion. It gives you videos of the two hardest rounds and the challenge code. It was done in 16.0, but it's only gotten easier. This should still be a pretty good tutorial.
Edit: oh, early game? Yeah, you just have to do a lot of ace micro. Not too bad but you can't hope that one targeting will save you.
