Skins for regular monkeys

I think it would be a neat idea if regular monkeys also had their own unique skins, even if it's as minor as a simple color change. Would give players something new to look at, give them more things to spend monkey money on, and it makes it slightly easier for people in co-op who are playing in maps where you can place monkeys anywhere who are also using the same monkeys (Even though people can still end up picking the same skins)

Considering the backlash NK got with paid skins on BTD5 I don't think they're gonna try it again.

I wouldn't find team skins bad. because at some point you lose track of things in the Coop.

I think they could do it with MM instead of actual cash without backlash, as long as the price is reasonable. I'd ballpark 1000/1500 per monkey would be fair considering they'd mostly be the same compared to the hero monkey skins

Or why not do a very challenging mission to unlock the said specific skins instead.

It is tricky to implement because you have to do new art assets for every type of crosspathing. Like 0-4-X, 1-4-X and 2-4-X. Depending on the original one. Not to mention those are 3D models and some skins might modify the Monkey's look instead of just a texture change (such as Gwendolin's Harlegwen Skin vs Scientist Skin vs Pyromaniac Skin) , and 2D art sprites as well.

Would be expecting as real cash unlockable instead of Monkey Money because a lot of players hoarded up a lot. Then some stupid drama might happen about the skins, who knows?
