Why is coop so slow and stuttering

I'm playing with my son on the same Gigabit connection. Why is coop so awful? It takes several minutes to do each round.

I have had trouble with other players getting disconected and lag on the game

Same to me. Everything i bad in multiplayer and i want play multiplayer DAMNIT!

I kinda want to quit every game that lags which is like 70-80% of the time.
It's such a waste to play a game that lags because it takes 10x longer than a game without lag and it's no fun at all.
I really want to do more achievements like giving away money and simply more koop games.

You're not specific about what exactly is "gigabit connection" (LAN, WAN, both?) but ... even so, it's not like you're playing a LAN game. Packets still need to travel out to whatever is the central routing location, then travel back to the other person's device, and vice versa.

If one or both machines have hardware issues running the game, that can slow the other one down. For example I play co-op w/ someone who plays on an older phone and even tho my PC can blaze this game, it can be slow at times cuz each frame, the game has to sync for both players.

BTW are u using wired or wireless LAN? Wireless can definitely cause probs, with any game. It's not as solid as ppl seem to assume.

In general, I come back to my first remark tho. There can be more going on behind the scenes, than simply saying "I'm on gigabit so everything should work fantastically."

Basic troubleshooting methodology = swap out one thing at a time until you find what is causing the problem.

Do u have probs in pub games? Does son? Do u still have probs when u switch to wired? Does son? Do u still have probs when u try playing on another device? Does son? etc.
