How to change language to English?

It loaded up in Japanese. My steam's language is English, yet the game loaded in Japanese. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not work and I don't see a language option.

Just had complete that tutorial to get the option to change language. I think it happened because I bought this laptop in Japan. This is the only game so far that has ever just loaded up in Japanese though.

Sigh, so that is why, seriously they should have set the game to english default then added option to change language in setting or on first boot.

you are FORCED to go through the tutorial to get to the options?
this is one of the most idiotic concepts in game design, ever!
try getting through the tutorial in a language you don't speak, because you are playing on a borrowed laptop.

I agree that this is silly, and after a bit of digging, I found a way to change it.
Shout-out to NinjaKiwi's poor "support" site, btw. ;)

Edit this file:
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Ninja Kiwi\BloonsTD6\CachedLanguagePref.txt

Simply change the line to "English" (without the quotation marks), save it, and start the game.
