Forced fullscreen, really?
I honestly can't remember the last game I played that had fullscreen on by default but didn't let you turn it off in some form of loader. This wouldn't be a problem if it was expected, as for an FPS game, but for a TD game? It even went to the wrong screen, and on top of that I had to start an actual game and exit it to access the settings that would let me turn off fullscreen.

Can you think this through, please?

alt+enter will get you BORDERED(not less) window

I knew that but forgot about it, likely because like I said I haven't had to deal with this in a very long time. Doesn't change the fact that the forced fullscreen screwed up my desktop, be it because of Windows or because of DisplayFusion, or both.

In any case, thanks for the reminder.

I'm pretty sure there is a program that makes any program run in borderless fullscreen but i'm not sure if it removes the taskbar

I just tried this program and it works perfectly

edit: my bad lol how about instructions.
You have to alt+enter to go to bordered window mode then run the program (or click refresh if it's already running so it can see bloons), click bloons, click fullscreenize

But that's the thing, I'm not interested in playing this type of game in fullscreen, borderless window or not. I have a 34" 3440x1440 ultrawide screen, and I normally play those games in a 1600x900 window, really don't need to use more screen real-estate than that.

annoying solution but change your desktop to a lower resolution, start the game, go windowed mode by pressing alt+enter, change your resolution back to your desired resolution
Arkatar Nov 30, 2019 @ 9:52am
Nah, that's basically what the game does on its own anyway, and it's that resolution change that screws up the desktop layout, e.g. a 2000x1440 window gets reduced to 1920x1080 or whatever resolution the game chooses. I use a program called Persistent Windows to handle (most of) the issue for me, but it doesn't work perfectly with DisplayFusion layouts.

So, like I said, they shouldn't assume to force fullscreen without a configuration loader, especially on this type of game. I'm not looking for a solution since I've already changed the game to windowed mode. The point was to inform the developers of this annoying issue that shouldn't have been one if they had thought this through.

ah I think nvidia drivers automatically handle that issue but I know desktops can get crazy on windows 10

Of course anyone would agree with adding resizeable window mode. ninja kiwi support hasn't responded to my email from yesterday though so good luck. I cannot even play the game, and never have been.

Not only is it forced fullscreen on my system but attempting to task switch causes it to lock up in a black screen that will not minimize or allow any other windows over it until I use task manager to force close the game.
Seriously, how does something like this pass basic quality control?

If you don't mind borderless fullscreen which allows instantly alt tabbing without freeze then try out the program i linked

you can also use Windowed borderless gaming[westechsolutions.net], alt+enter to go into windowed and then add the window to the program. Not having borderless native though is a bit iffy
