Why?! (also just a general discussion about everything btd6)
They replaced my favorite tower, the bloonchipper.. i hope they add it back. And also, one of the powers u got is stupid as the previous games u can buy em with in-game cash and not monkey money (which is already hard enough to obtain without paying), the road spikes shouldnt b among the powers.. Dont trash ur good reputation Ninja Kiwi.. :steamfacepalm:

road spikes have always been buyable... but ye they should re add bloonchipper and engineer

they have been buyable yes, but not with monkey money. its always been in-game cash (stuff u earn wen u pop bloons for example). its really a waste, especially once u get ur spike factory's up

Engineer will come, also the Dartling Gunner. Bloonchipper will not come because the tower was to op.
Maybe they will rethink about this when the other two towers have been added but for now they said the bloonchipper won't come back.
nk has confirmed bloonchipper wont be comming back, the other towers will though

too op? it was only op wen u had its specialty building up and fully upgraded on btd5.. they dont have this feature in btd6 so the bloonchipper is back to basic and non-op. besides, they have some towers in here that are still op but they added them anyways :steamsad:

The reason why bloonchipper is considered op is because he could suck in MOAB type bloons and stall them forever while dealing massive damage.
i dont think it is not coming back becuase it was op, it would be hard to make 3 upgrade paths and program it in as the bloons are 2.5D

Just get rid of the mechanic where bloons don't move forward but instead at half speed when bloonchipper sucka them in and make the bloons targetable when they do get sucked.

That makes them a lot less op and shouldn't be too hard to do.

many of the towers have op upgrades that immobilize MOAB's the sniper monkey can still do it, the ninja monkey can do severe (almost insta death) damage to em, and the artillery command hero can immobolize the strongest bloon on screen (in this case, an MOAB/ZOMG/DDT). and those are off the top of my head. besides, the bloonchipper was a late game tower, if its too op, make it more expensive like in the price range of a monkey town or the super monkey tower.. should fall under support anyways.

Or just out of spite and if copyrights didnt apply, make it a hero tower and have a monkey operate the bloonchipper but call it Bloon Buster (idea came from Ghost Busters and their vaccume like weapons) or sumthin, idk. they can add it, even if they have to modify it like they have all the other towers (monkey town no longer has a laser attack as one of its final upgrades for example.. :steamfacepalm:

The bloonchipper was (and still is) a completely broken tower in 5. People went well over 1000 waves by spamming it. I do enjoy the chipper, its a fun tower, but im glad its gone.

On a diferent topic, I think that giving towers 3 upgrade paths but only being able to use 2 at once was a bad move. I understand why, it promotes stratergy about what upgrades you get and dont get rather then having the complete package... in theory. But in practice most towers either fall into
A: they need aspets from all three paths to work, leading to a crippled end product (glue monkey cough cough).
B: one upgrade path almost never gets used anyway because its bad. Thus removing the choice aspect (sniper monkeys middle path).

A forced two out of three just makes the game less fun to me.

the devs confirmed long ago that the bloonchipper wont be coming back, due to them not liking what it did to game balance.

the monkey academy (new tower), dartling gun, and engineer are all confirmed to be coming to btd6 in future updates.
Actually the future of the bloonchipper is uncertain iirc they removed some of their mentions of bloonchipper not coming back.

the problem with the chipper is mostly two things : possible upgrades and balance
while I never found it broken myself I can see it being so, plus I feel even in 5 they struggled to think of upgrades.
