You may have to change it through the games files instead of the Steam properties.

- Game Properties (from steam library)
- Local Files
- Browse Local Files
- Create a shortcut to the BTD6 launcher
- View properties for this shortcut
- Add " -popupwindow" to the end of the "Target" line
- Rename the shortcut to "BTD6 - Borderless Windowed" or something]

that means id have to run btd6 from that shorcut always.. ehh, anyways, i used borderless gaming and after a few tries i got it working!, hopefully they add this (basic) option into the game soon. thanks !

Yeah would be nice if they added it.

I know this is a bit late, but instead of making a shortcut and everything, go into the game properties, go to launch options, and type -popupwindow in there instead of in a shorcut's properties. This'll let you play the game itself instead of launching from the shortcut

none of that worked for me but surprisingly, the game now acts as if it were on borderless, dunno why but im more than happy now :D

Yeah it also happened for me. Just randomly started working I guess. Maybe after a PC restart iunno

I don't understand, my game has been borderless windowed all the time... even though it's not in the settings I can just alt-tab normally while still seeing the game.
