I've tried 2 different workaround guides but they've been both fruitless.
Either I'm to dumb, or steam's gotten smarter with that stuff.

How did you get it to work? A friend of mine was unable to get through the region lock to add the game to his account no matter what method he used.

Well I've tried using different VPNs and Tunnelbear ended up working.
Make sure to connect the VPN first and then get Steam running and then activate via steamdb.

The cloud version is NOT region locked:

Just use your Google, Twitter or Facebook login. Of course everything will be Japanese - so make sure to read the guide:

As I wrote: "Of course everything will be Japanese". Well, the game is about clicking the same buttons a thousand times, so with the guide you should be just fine
