[DMM] DMM game player endless update bug help

This is the second time it's happened.. first time i just kept uninstalling and installing the client and after about 20 times it suddenly worked

So when I want to launch DMM game player, a window with update version number and some info pops up, with a button to 'update' and a bar for progress, nothing else. I click the button and the bar fills up, but after that, the window closes and opens again and the bar is empty again. The main client never appears and I can't launch VV even directly from desktop. Also the small icon doesn't appear on taskbar so I can't right click and go to settings or whatever

I tried closing and opening the DMM game player many times, and whitelisting on kaspersky. I turned the protection off too before but it did not work

Help?

Some shenanigans was happening yesterday. DMM was updated too.

I can only say that the update was only taking a few seconds in my case.

The icon in the info area of the task bar has disappeared in my case too. But apart from that the DMM player works just fine...

i got it working again with jp vpn
weird, it didnt work last time but this time it did

I have never used a VPN for the DMM version..

last time that happened to me was because my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet cant download the update files properly

I notice that I now have to start DMM game player twice for it to run (I start the player from Steam).
