Sea Lion
France is about to fall with minimal losses to Germany. Considering if I should move my forces east and prepare for a drive on Moscow, or attempt Sea Lion. Any recommendations for strategy and force mix for attack?

First and foremost you should know that taking down London will transform the US to a raging bull. It will ramp up considerably their production.

In their first game I've seen a playthough where Sea Lion was successful. Watch this YouTube link to jump to the right videos. Paradogs Gamer is the YouTuber since you'll probably want to watch it on Youtube to find where you want to be in the series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4gKAykukAU&list=PLt96thROd3u9rcKn4dRlhHcpaFTGQ_o4e

I think there is a huge difference in executing Operation Sea Lion in SC WIE and SC WAW. The AI use of French and British navy, when you go after taking all of France, is quite a challenge.

invest in 3rd paratroop for germany. DURING attack on france move all 3 to lowlands, border hexes of france. drop them in uk BEFORE brits bring back the bef. amphib research is the icing after that.

IMO it is more important to keep uk quiet and boxed in and go hard to take Russia out of the war. If you knock Russia before usa gets too involved out you are pretty much guarunteed a victory. At least for a first time playthrough. Also you will have to capture both Manchester and all hexes around London I think or UK will simply continue from Canada along with their vast armada.

Dont waste your time with Sea Lion. British Islands do not give you enough production and USA Production ramps up.

Use your airforce to secure your africa corps and fight the brits in africa. You can also quickly take out the Yugos in 1940 and Spain (after Romania joined you). Spain also ramps up the USA, but who cares. Then you can launch a large invasion on the sovjets in mai-june 1941 and take alot of industry in the south before the winter and prepair the fight for moscow in 1942.

I did Sealion once and while I did take the UK isles, it resulted in a terribly weak Barbarossa. It definitely wasn't worth it.

Yes, but you'll defend from the US a lot easier. Their troops won't reach Europe without the UK island as jumping point.

In the long run, Sealion makes the game a lot easier, even tough it does indeed take some troops away from the initial land-grabbing Barbarossa.
