Linux support this time around?
Will there be a native GNU/Linux build of the game released eventually?

Is it made with Adobe technologies again, or is it something better and actually cross platform this time?

Hey developers, please support GNU/Linux. It will be so nice!

Not to discourage developers from striving to natively port games to Linux, but is Proton not a good solution (60fps and all)?

Samorost worked ootb for me in Linux

I'd be very happy to buy this if it comes natively for Linux!

i love all your games, glad you finally dump the obsolete flash and jump to a real cross-platform tool, thanks! I can wait to after the release to get the linux version, your games are too good to pass! :)

Count me in for a purchase if a Linux version is made.

The issue with Proton is the developer is under no obligation to support it. If I play a game with Proton and encounter a bug or issue I can go to them for help and they can always say too bad so sad but if they release a native Linux version they are obliged to support that if you have issues. Also if they are releasing a native Linux version then they have gone through the effort to use tools that are Linux compatible which should ensure a smoother experience than Proton trying to get their (possible) Windows only tools to work.

I never managed to get anything to run in Proton at all, even where the same program runs fine in Wine, so I don't see it as a solution at all.

I'm guessing it may be because my graphics driver doesn't support Vulkan by default, and that there are ways around it. But the way I see it, if the developers can't be bothered to support Linux I can't be bothered to support them. There are enough games for Linux that I want to play, but haven't had the time for yet, anyway.

That's not meant as a slight against Amanita Design, though. They released Pilgrims for Linux, so they clearly can be bothered. It just remains to be seen if they will be this time around.

Another +1 for an instant buy once there's a native Linux version. :LIS_pixel_heart::signix:

Loved Pilgrims and Machinarium! Even bought the Android version after playing them on Linux to show my support. =)

Judging from the Proton reports, I thought Creaks would run fine with Proton... but unfortunately, it doesn't, not on my machine (Mint 19.3, Intel i5-7260U, Intel Iris Plus 640, Mesa 20.0.8) regardless of Proton version. All I see is a loading dialogue, and then it closes.

That's a shame, I'm in love with Amanita games - and everyting else runs fine with proton or used to have a Linux version outside Steam - not to mention the Hidden Orchestra soundrack, which is one of the best Nu Jazz bands in the world. Sadly, I'll have to ask for a refund and wait for a native linux version :(
