The HUD zoom doesn't make it fit for me. I get to the part of the tutorial where you have to use the Work menu and then can't see the X to close the window.
The right side panel also has some overlap issues with resource/inventory and 'hotbar menu' items like Work, Mystery, etc.
I REALLY wish they'd sort that out a little better. It can be worked around, and you can always just run in a "reasonable" resolution, but it's so damn pretty and the black bars of cropping it seem such a terrible waste.
I would also really like to (would pay for) have the existing wallpapers and even more of them in 32:9.
Somebody's jealous
UI is quite easy to adjust if you need to and I've never had any issues with low framerates. And until I upgraded at the end of last year, I was using a 1080ti gpu which you can probably find on ebay for $150 but even like a 2000 series, or 3060/3070 should be fine. you don't need to have the top-tier, newest GPU to power a UW monitor.
All I can say is that I upgraded to UW a few years ago and it is hands down the best upgrade I've ever made. Both in terms of productivity for work, modding, and even just being able to have multiple windows open all the time. but also for how it has made gaming/immersion SOOO much better. I don't think I could ever go back to a standard screen. At least I wouldn't as long as I have a choice.
But you called it a "crap resolution that is entirely unneeded." this just tells me you have never actually experienced UW and have no idea what you're talking about. If you're happy with 1080p that's fine but don't jump to condemn something you don't actually know about.
