Should I buy KSP2?
I see there are a lot of problems going on with it. Is it still worth getting?

Noone should buy the game at this point in this state! Weather it is continuing development or abandoned doesn't make any difference. It shows no progress, it seems very rough and uncertain to be ever finished. So no, this should not be finished and until there is no other developer assigned to KSP 2, it should also be pulled from sales.

For us who bought it, unfortunately, it's just wasted money. Early access is stated to be something that could go down the drain completely. As this did at this point.

If you listen to the reviews you won't get the true story: https://steamdb.info/app/954850/history/

Game is still under development despite what you may have heard.

Don't be misleading. The studio is shut down at the end of the month, and T2 is looking to sell everything off, so far unsuccessfully.

Game is, at this moment, dead.

Dead game. Probably a bad move to purchase after studio was closed.

The studio will be closed in a few weeks. The publisher and development studio have gone radio silent. Any remaining development will be limited. Meanwhile, Kerbal Space Program is better that Kerbal Space Program 2, apart from the graphics and audio, but costs only £7.49 compared to £44.99 for KSP 2. KSP 1 graphics can be improved with mods. Buy KSP 1 instead.

The studio has been shut down and it's future is in great question. It's most likely dead. People will tell you it's not, but thats just because they believe what Take Two says rather than what they do, which is about like believing a bank robber when he says he didn't break into a bank.

Get KSP1 instead.

Absolutly NOT.
The truth is nobody knows whats going on, but its not looking good, at all.
As of right now, this game can safely be called a scam until they prove that there is still intention to try finishing the game.

No, buy KSP1 or a different game.
Delle(DK) Jun 8, 2024 @ 4:04am
wait buying ksp2 until there are some official news about the future of ksp2.
My guess is once the dev team is out of the door then they will come with some kind of statement example on 1st of july about what is happening and what will happen in the future. So wait a few weeks before you buy is my advice.
If they officialy say ksp2 development is dead, then get ksp1 instead and find allot of mods for it then that is also a nice game with tons of possibilitys with mods.

Makes me sad. It had potential.

"App and package updates do not even have to be related to the app/package itself as Valve does periodical changes to a batch of apps/packages. Usually when such a change happens, it affects many apps at once.

For a changenumber to change on an app that hasn't been active in months, it's more likely a useless change rather than a sign of life." source: https://steamdb.info/faq/

Yes, please buy it.

Yours truly, Nate.

If you look you'll see there are frequent depot updates which are when a developer uploads content to a depot, even if in a private branch.

It is extremely uncertain whether or not development of this game will continue. The development team is being lay-offed and we haven't heard any official news for months since the report of the lay-offs.

The outset is not looking very good.

I'm keeping my copy for posterity's sake. It's your money but please understand that you may not get your money's worth out of the game, ever.

Additionally, as pointed out by Crashed, Steam DB does continue to show that the game is actively being worked on in some capacity. We may have at-least one final update before things go tits-up.

I really hope development of the game goes to another studio.
