I launched two rockets and refunded.
Its not worth the price imo.
Fair if other people think it is but I am not surprised the reviews are showing as mixed.
Really bad for the future sales of the game, I know not everybody does but if a game has mixed reviews on steam I tend to avoid it unless its multiplayer and friends recommend it.
People just don't read the Early Access Tag and certainly don't check the description... then bash the game for offering only what it said it would at this point.
Not a big suprise really.
I mean for me it isnt the fact its only sandbox at the minute (which is fair, its what was advertised).
But when I can buy HogwartsLegacy for £5 more than KSP2 in this launch state is a bit more questionable
It also runs like arse and cost the same price as a completed game. There is no reason for the performance it has. The odds if it improving enough by release are low unless they do a lot of rewrites.
Buy it and keep it if you wish but take a look in a couple of years and see if it's fixed. I'll be happy if it is but absolutely not surprised if it still runs like butt.
Just wanted a more efficient KSP not less...
That was also said before by the devs and even explained in a post ahead of the launch.
Performance is never the first thing you develop for. Never ever. Not just in gaming.
It is pretty rough, but certainly not terrible.
KSP is a simulation game, which have TREMENDOUS potential for performance gains without dumbing it down, like RPGs have to do.
If you don't want to take part in an early access and pay full price for the game, then just wait a year or two. It is a free world (more or less) :-)
Better than I expected to be honest. Only 30% of steam users reach min specs for the game and they started doing expectation management yesterday... And this is before bugs that are part of EA experience begin showing up.
1. Those, enjoying the journey.
2. Those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but buying the game anyway.
3. Those poor souls that just sit on the forum, trying to have "fun" with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about something they wish they had, but don't want to, because they would fall into category 2 then
Is the reviews and multiple discussion posts and comments not good enough full picture for you? lol
People should wait for full release and developers should give the game another year before going EA.
