If you own KSP 1 do you get KSP 2 free? or reduced?
If you already own Kerbal space program 1 will you get the second for free or at a discount? or will you have to pay full price.

no game company would give you the sequel for free. they spent millions making it, it would be financial suicide to give it away after years of development.

as for discounts
its possible though slim they might give a discount. but usually, you pay full price.
out of the 400 games i own on steam, only two times have i ever received a discount because i owned the previous version.

No, you will pay full price according to the devs when asked this in the few interviews they've given.

Probably full price, and it's kind of entitled to expect a discount especially given how much life that game has had.

I bought ksp full price and I will buy ksp2 full price. The dev's deserve every dime.

with my value per hour played I could easily pay $150 or more and it would still be cheaper by the hour than most other games I've eve bought.

Nobody asks their make KSP 2
They can easly make money from KSP DLC's
But in fact that KSP 2 just improved version of KSP and obviously KSP will be abandoned both players and devs after KSP 2 release it will be fair to add at least 50% discount for KSP owners
Otherwise it will be just a fraud.

of the many games made, how many were asked for by gamers?? most of them are none did.
and most game companies never offer a discount if you own their previous games. they are after all in the market to make money for themselves and their employees.

Good news!!!!!!!1111111111 My uncle works as dev in KSP2 and said it will be free for all KSP1 owners :)........ Seriously, are you seriously? This is totally new game, what do you excepted? I hope you know what the right answer is ;)

FIFA series
Fallout series
Maden Series
Battlefield series
Battle front series
And the list goes on and on and on.
None of them got discounts, or a free game.

If you don't want to buy the new game, then dont. But don't complain about it. Because it's a new game. They deserve to get paid for their work.
Eventually it will go on sale. Buy it then. Or don't.
