Console availability specifically on Nintendo Switch?
So the dev team have mentioned that KSP2 is coming for both XOne and PS4, but why leave Nintendo and their Switch out of this thing? I mean, the Nintendo Switch is hot stuff right now, so why leave out millions of potential future buyers that may not have a laptop/PC capable of running this game, but do have a Nintendo Switch that has proven time and again to run good games? The little thing can run BoTW, which in itself is an Xbox/PS4-spec game, so there's little to no reason to leave the Switch out. I am a Nintendo Switch owner myself, so this'd be a favour I'd like be done.

Thanks for reading,
SimBX

Watch them come out with the mobile version instead, that seems to be the way every developer gets gamers mad these days...

Well, KSP does already have decent ports on X1 and PS4 (The first attempt was a bit naff though) and isn't this new one meant to run better? Next year's consoles will run it better than a current mid range PC probably. All depends on the effort put into it. Plenty of people play KSP on undercooked macbooks and potato computers. Might not be the 4k 120fps ubermensch perfromance bracket but the game is still awesome I bet.

As for switch... I love the thing and it's great for all sorts of games but I think physics heavy flight sims might not be one of them. It runs on phone hardware. I'm sure it can be done with aggressive optimising but that might not be worth the effort, it would be like making the game from scratch. But who knows. Touch screen/motion controls would be awesome for VAB.

More ports the merrier I say, it's a very important game that should have the lowest barrier to entry possible. Get this sucker on phones if you can! Teach kids using it on tablets in school if possible! Not having mods would be sad but I'm not going to pretend that vanilla isn't more than worth full price and good on it's own for 100's of hours, and KSP2 looks even more content rich.
