As for switch... I love the thing and it's great for all sorts of games but I think physics heavy flight sims might not be one of them. It runs on phone hardware. I'm sure it can be done with aggressive optimising but that might not be worth the effort, it would be like making the game from scratch. But who knows. Touch screen/motion controls would be awesome for VAB.
More ports the merrier I say, it's a very important game that should have the lowest barrier to entry possible. Get this sucker on phones if you can! Teach kids using it on tablets in school if possible! Not having mods would be sad but I'm not going to pretend that vanilla isn't more than worth full price and good on it's own for 100's of hours, and KSP2 looks even more content rich.
