Devs / Publishers didnt pay IGN enough to say their game is good.
Reminder IGN has given 6/10 to Fallout 76 at launch. To name one of the uncountable times they gave sufficient or more rating to trash games.
Simply they say a game is good if the publishers pay them enough to do so.
Never trust IGN or any other "major" review website. They are all sold fakes.
Ofc you are getting a far bigger far more enjoyable and far more well made game with the new Call of Duty for a bit more money. Sure you could get Bioshock Infinite for 7$ in a Steam sale, but that does not devalue this kind of game.
This is a new and enjoyable Terminator game and its reasonable to give it a 7 or something like that. Especially since it doesn't seem to have any huge technical problems or lots of crashes, which new games have all the time for the past 10+ years.
OMG yes and Colonial Marines and Rome 2 Total War and Anthem just to name some more.
Brilliant marketing move from them. Controversy of having IGN rate it low, respected youtubers meanwhile loving it spreading the word, game coming out of nowhere so its a surprise that overjoys us all.
Thank god they exist personally.
Thanks but I knew I also read your comment. The thing is, I barely ever hear or read the term AA Game so if it is an established classification, barely anyone knows it, so I didn't use it.
In movies, its a B-movie so a B-game. Now, these days B-movie stands for bad because we had so many bad B-movies, but originally the B simply stood for lower funds, a lesser movie than the blockbusters that would be A-movies.
The Godzilla movies for example are seen as B-movies from a time when the B didn't stand for bad in many people's opinion.
Some people don't know what indie means and refer to every low-budget game as indie. Others just classify media by the budget so its low mid and high budget.
Its all very screwed.
Sorry for being broke till next year... yeah I don't have 40$ to spend on yet another video game atm.
Then why would you even bother with this game, if you never really cared for what it was based on at all?.
Any normie that does that deserves all the scorn they can get. You don't get the game for the next shooty shooty, bang bang. You get it because it's a Terminator game, for people that love the franchise, not "uhh, dunno jack ♥♥♥♥, so I'll just ignore this and go with a normie review site",like doing that, going that route is all kinds of mentally stupid.
Anyone buying this for anything outside of what the game is based on, is going to be left disappointed, but that's fine, because it wasn't made for them, it was made for fans of the franchise. Those hopping from game to game, not at all caring about anything at all, can happily play insane amounts of games like CoD all day long.
That's fine if you're broke, you have your priorities, but to those watching a few vids and calling a verdict doesn't really lend well, compared to those that own and play the game, and see what it presents to them.
I've very, very little respect for almost any big game reviewer out there, simply because time and time again I've seen a "journo" run into a game they never really liked to begin with, or a genre they are bored with, yet end up reviewing the games in the end. That doesn't at all come off as fair to begin with and just shows the lack of care and thought to even put into their reviews, so why hire people who dislike X game or genre, because then the personal bias seeps in and utterly warps the review.
I'm not asking for overly positive reviews, but it's obvious when you match someone with their least fave game/genre, the results are going to be quite predictable, and play out like a typical cliche. It's why I'll never see IGN as being any sort of respectable review site, simply because it's filled with complete normies/morons who don't know a good game when they see one, let alone on how they judge things.
Sorry man but you can't think like that. Its like saying imagine if this wasn't base on Star Wars. Thats basically the point to make it look and feel like being in that universe. I just hope this game sells enough because if yes developers said there is much more to come. Imagine dlc where you would be playing as T-800 inflitrator searching for Resistance hideouts for example. Also fixing the AI would improve the game heavily. Just like in case of Aliens: Colonial Marines. Players fixed it themselves and the game suddenly became fun to play. Then again T-800 don't need to crawl on the ceiling, jumping around and so on :)
I think they just gave Pokemon Sword & Shield, which is universally panned for being a dreadful attempt using rehashed models and cutting more than half of the Pokemon in a franchise which slogan is "gotta catch them all" , and is completely devoid of combat animations a 9.3/10
I think IGN gave God Hand 3/10
I think IGN has been caught in the past for not even finishing games and play it on the easiest setting so they can rush through their assignments and get back to snorting coke and drinking Starbucks and get $60 000 a year for it.
I think IGN is full of rich white kids who's parents bought them their journalism degrees and need to be laughed at and discarded for the absolute garbage opinion that they puke out.
"The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ review was not the time or place to address criticisms of the game" - Random IGN cokehead moron defending their abysmal Pokemon review recently.
They are clowns, they are anti-gaming, they are the devil.
This one i did not expect to be good after that rambo game but oh boy i been reading reviews etc and seems this is a must buy as i am a terminator fan :D I did watch that IGN review after i read it about here as if no one would told about it i would never found out, yeah i do not follow any of those ign or kotaku etc, they just seem not to be able to review a game today.
just need to try and not to buy in 2 weeks as i am getting new GPU then... i so want to buy this already lol
Nice points you make there mate.
