I can't drive the bus. What does this symbol mean and how do I remove that

I’m positive that is the issue I had and I couldn’t for the life of me find out what that symbol meant either. I tried resetting the emergency brake, kneeling, parking brake, retarder and nothing worked. Went through options and keys/buttons couldn’t find it.
I think I just saved and reloaded and it worked!

I even searched online for real life symbols on buses and couldn’t find that one.

Is the bus in N for neutral, When you try to start it?

It doesn’t help that the devs don’t even come over to the forum and help. Shows you how much they care.

I think there’s so many bugs still in this and Fernbus, it’s pure frustration!
I’ve driven to bus stops got out checked passengers in and can’t for the life of me get the bus to drive again - despite leaving the engine on,in neutral and handbrake on. Nothing else.
Get in put it in gear and it just sits there. No acceleration, nothing!

Oh and yes, I’ve pressed the foot brake before engaging D drive

Have you checked to see if there is any service repairs which are needed?

That symbol lights up when you press the (regular) brake.

If you use a steering wheel and pedals then maybe your brake pedal axis is inverted. If so then you need to change that in the controls settings.

Yeah that our it could also mean that your brakes are in need of a service because when this happens they go into lock mode but you can drive very slowly to the garage that's whats happens in real life not sure if it's simulated on this game

That also sounds like plausible cause. I did not know that that was possible and I have not seen that happen in my game sessions. But then again, I also do not have hundreds of hours in this game.

Unfortunately OP did not provide any information about the context of the problem, so it makes it all the more difficult to hunt for the cause.

Is OP completely new to the game? Is it a new game with a first second hand bus? Is it an existing game(save) which suddenly manifested this problem? Did OP change any software or hardware? Etc. etc.
