multiplayer mode is a game feature that you need to implement on the start of development. It's nothing you simply add to a finished game. Especially, the economy feature was not developed with a multiplayer in mind. So, it wouldn't the way it should in a multiplayer mode.
The game was designed to be a singleplayer experience and it follows our plan for developing driving simulations on Unreal Engine 4 to have more and more features with every game.
So, Fernbus Sim was our first open-world driving simulation based on UE4. Tourist Bus Sim got added an economy upon that. The Bus - currently in development - will add a multiplayer and economy feature.
Please, understand that these features cannot be added to previous games easily. And we're developing games on a budget with a quite small staff of 10 developers.
Kind regards

That's exactly why we will always offer a singleplayer mode. We're currently developing The Bus which is going to have a multiplayer mode, but you'll always be able to play with friends only or you can host a password-protected session, in case you don't want to play with all the random people out there in the world wide web. Still, The Bus will have a singleplayer too.
How long will it take to play with friends?
