Too many bus simulator choices
Was about to buy bus simulator 2018, then saw people say no buy omsi 2, then found Fernburg simualtor, then this game. It's great to have choices but having a really hard time undertanding the difference each game offers so here's my questions.

1) Between fernbus and tourist bus are the graphics any different?
2) From what I can tell tourist bus is more about management than fernbus is that accurate? I'm really looking towards ferbus just for the content but also like the idea of managing routes/people/buses in tourist bus.
3) Should I even be looking at bus simulator 2018, is it like tourist bus simulator?
4) Omsi 2 is out , it's too dates even though I understand the deepest of all of them regarding simulation.
5) what do you think the real difference between fernbus, tourist, and bus simulator 2018 is or can you point me to a link / video that explains the differences cleary as I've not been able to find any.

Not looking for anyone to slam the competition, rather just trying to understand what each game offers and which is right for me, they all look like they have pluses and minus, I think I'm down to fernbus vs touris bus.

Thanks Jump, I think Tourist bus may be what I'm looking for some driving and some management based on your answer. I've seen Lotus simulaor but not all that impressed, keeping an eye though as it progresses.

1. Slightly better graphics i'd say.. and definitely less graphics bugs! (talking bout TBS)

2. Managing is an important part in TBS.. Make sure your drivers are assigned to buses and routes and if they get sick and you cannot jump in you better have an insurance to cover for it :)

3. Was checking for BS 2018 too, think it's too much of a childrens' b-day party...

4. Omsi 2 is really deep, realistic and satisfying, but you have drawbacks in graphics, performance and content (great community tho, tons of quality freeware addons, highly reccomend for bus enthusiasts)

5.Fernbus is driving from A to B, repeat... in TBS you have lines, shuttles and sightseeing.
apart from that the map scaling plays a big role too.. fernbus happens on a huge map which had to be downscaled a lot. that makes for super small cities and long weird highways which seem unrealistic.
They did a great job with tourist bus choosing this island, since you don't feel the scaling of 1:5 (?) while driving. TBS is quite challanging to drive too, since the roads are very narrow.
Tourist bus sim and Omsi2 are the games on my hard disc

I ended up going with tour bus simulator but also ended up having to refund. Does not work on surround sound setups in 3072x768. The main menu was cut off and then when in game the zoom level was so far in driving despite setting FOV to maximum it literally made me sick. Might try OMSI on a sale.

That's the problem with no standard for surround gaming. I sold my surround monitors and then went for one 21:9 (also not perfect though) But now i'm going for 16:9 only. The hassle with 80% of games not properly supporting anything other then 16:9 bugged me too much. A shame though, nothing beats driving with 3 monitors.

Agree, still waiting for VR to catch up, expect in a few years monitors will be a thing of the past. Will see

Buy Fernbus Simulator for driving long routes on the Autobahn.
Buy Tourist Bus Simulator for managing a bus company.
Buy OMSI for a very realistic technical implementation.
Buy Bus Simulator 18 for multiplayer.
(Do not buy LOTUS. Way too early state.)

:D
