How to break out of first level.

I'm missing something obvious, how to break out of first level. Game starts, move to right and nothing. I'm stuck going around and around cant break through to humans. Tried middle mouse button, right mouse button left shift nothing works help!!!!

are you at the upside down U-section? on the right side is a pipe, just hug the wall
