Framerate issues - only Demo, or main game still as well?

I'm playing the demo and the framerate won't go above about 43fps. i7 3770k + GTX 970.

A single thread of the CPU runs at 100%.

This apparently used to be an issue that quite a few people had with the main game, but there was word it was going to be fixed. See: https://steamcommunity.com/app/95300/discussions/0/45350791855205624/

Was it indeed fixed, and this is just a leftover in the demo? Or does the main game still have this issue?

I have the main game and just tried it, this problem is still here.

Thank you for replying, I never got the game in the end but it is still on my radar - so that is helpful to know :)
