Definitely, this game is a total disaster without mods.

First I got it in a offer for 5 bucks and even so I feel that I was robbed, this game is a disaster, it does everything wrong, thats why the creators do well to call this games “Re imaginations” and not “Remakes” as such, because as remakes don't work, for a well done remake, the remake of the original resident evil, it keeps everything from the original game, adding new things to the story, in the case of this game, it removes many scenarios and enemies from the original game, and offers nothing in return, without the mods on PC I would never play this game again, but thanks to the community this game is something worth playing with mods.

This game has so many things wrong, that the list would be endless, they couldn't even keep the level of gore of the 2019 game, why? I have no idea, and don't let me start with the "additional content",because it's garbage, the infinite weapons are garbage except for the rocket launcher and for the rest, they couldn't even put more additional costumes, the classic costume of RE3 was even censored, when the original costume was not a big deal, a disaster what capcom did with this game.

There are many mods bro, but I would definitely recommend the mods for Jill's ultimate suit, the classic look of nemesis, and the change of look of the mercenaries in addition to the inventory (of course, if you like the original game like me) apart from that, some mods add other things like different sounds for weapons, in Nexus you will find several. but those are my favorites.

I don't mean any disrespect, but all of those things are veneers. They don't change the substance of the game beyond the surface level.

But, like you, I'm deeply offended with Jill herself and the way she looks. I looked for Ultimate on Nexus, but all I found was a link to a video that has been removed. I found a mod that made her look like 5's Jill, but I haven't tried it yet. But the thing that would make the most difference for me is a change in voice. I just can't stand the new Jill's attitude. I'll probably just listen to it in another language and get rid of the subtitles if I ever play it again. I have kinda grown used to the new look of Nemesis, but returning to the old look may be an improvement, but I'm not sure. Thank you for the suggestions, however. I don't see how any of that would make it worthy of their very low asking price once you've been through the game once.

I did not find it necessary to use any mods but wouldn't blame you for changing Jill's ugly skin and/or adding inventory slots. Capcom steals 4 slots in order to ransom them back to you behind the post game point shop. This is insulting because these were slots the 2nd had naturally. Capcom also dictated that they would waste another slot for most of the game on a lockpick, something Jill carried for free back in the 1st game.

Even with nudity mods this game is nowhere near as good as resident evil 2 and certainly not 4, so no, nudity mods don't help it much, a mod simply cannot fix everything that is wrong with this game. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I first played this game without mods and I enjoyed it more than RE2 Remake. Playing through it again with Jill in bdsm suit makes it even better though.

Yeah this game isn't that great, I like the dodge mechanic but otherwise the gameplay in itself is really really barebone compared to RE4R which is absolutely fantastic in every possible way.

Just finished it for the 2nd time, first time was like 3 years ago and yeah while it can have its moments, overall it's a barely decent and acceptable RE, for 5 bucks it's all right but holly molly the people that paid full price for it must clearly feel robbed.

Basically no replay value and the unlockables are quite a joke, 2 costumes for each character from what I saw online but I clearly didn't enjoy the game enough to feel like unlocking them.

It wouldn't be hard to include at least 10 different skins for each character, the original apparently had way more skins than the remake, I can't even imagine playing this game on consoles without mods, you would feel even more the lack of content.

Of course modding can help with that, I saw a lot of great skins for Jill but then again that's not enough to incentivize me to go through it again.
