Thoughts about the game.
I enjoyed this game for what it was. But man I wish there was more content.

It took me about 4 hours to beat the game on hardcore, not sure if it is with or without deaths (if with deaths then it's more like 5-6 hours). The gameplay was great. I liked the dodge mechanic even though it was a bit weird to use. If comparing these game to RE2 in terms of new content, this game doesn't have a lot of anything new, from what I can recall, there were paleheads (I know, they were in the RE2 Remake DLC), hunters, dodge mechanic, nemesis, automatic rifle (Carlos only), zombies with those weird head tentacle thingies, gammas and that's about it. I would have liked if the streets was longer, because I thought it would be like RE2 where half the game is RPD and here half the game would just be the streets with interesting puzzles.

Speaking of puzzles, there are almost NO PUZZLES!! I didn't even think about the puzzles, but once I beat the game, I was like "hey wait there were barely any puzzles". RE2 had far, far more puzzles than this game, this game had like maybe 2 puzzles and that's it.

Nemesis appears a lot, but when stalking you he doesn't roam around like Mr. X unfortunately, he is a scripted enemy unfortunately. Throughout the game he was intimidating, but he was so underutilized as a stalker enemy. What made Mr. X so scary was that he would stalk you and roam the halls of RPD, you could hear his footsteps a couple rooms away from you and you were scared as ♥♥♥♥ because he was a real threat that was hard to dodge since you had no proper dodge mechanic in RE2. Nemesis as a stalker enemy had so much potential.

I felt like they could've split up this game into 2 campaigns/scenarios, one with Jill and one with Carlos. Of course they couldn't because the team who made this game was much smaller than RE2's and the budget wasn't as big, but if they did, they could've fit 2 campaigns in this game.

Yeah that's about it, this game is absolutely worth it for 10 bucks, but for 40$? Nah

This game wasn’t horrible. It’s def enjoyable to play, but it was one of biggest disappointments, if not THE biggest, in gaming history because of how good the the 2nd one was, how much content was cut out, and how Nemesis, the greatest monster in the survival horror genre, was underutilized and wasted.

Some ppl love it though, so to each their own.

1 Year of Development, was massive red flag to me when the original release date hit, being soo close to RE2 Remake, rushed out to a massive extent. So disappointing, no matter how good of a short squirt it is.

Who really knows the exact amount of time. Former production that was let go told reporter that 3 was developed at the same time as 2, just different team and they share ideals and what not. Assuming that this is true then this game was doom to failed as the main team was not working on it also smaller budget. Remember that Capcom also gotta pushed Village marketing out so this game can't be delayed. Safe to say Capcom was banking on RE2 Remake good grace to carry this game. Surprisingly it kinda worked lol. While it may look as a failure to fans, the sales was not bad.
