In all honesty... Remake > Original.
Also, the remake is no where near as bad as some would have you believe. It's actually a very neat and decently pulled off experience.

- FYI: No I don't have an issue with the "tank-controls" or pre-rendered backgrounds of the original. For example RE1 is one of my favorite games in general (not just favorite in the series). I also believe that the original RE2 and the remake are pretty much equals. So don't at me with "ya-da-ya-da learn the controls, ya-da-ya-da pre-rendered backgrounds are for intellectuals, blaa blaa blaa gen z'er". I've literally been playing video games since before the PSone was even a thing.

- No the Nemesis isn't more interesting in the original. In the original he merely chases you around a couple of extra short periods of time. As well, the time he spends chasing you isn't all that interesting, complex, or difficult. His boss fights in the remake were more interesting than his half-assed stalking in the original.

- The cut-content people complain about is a serious pile of "nothing-burger". Both games take around the same amount of time to beat. Literally, the Grave Digger and the Clock-Tower aren't some magical pinnacles of gaming history, equating to their exclusion being some sort of unforgivable heresy. While I do kind of wish the remake didn't just end in underground labs like RE2; it is not blasphemy that it did end that way. And again the boss fights with Nemesis far outrank the Grave Digger.

PS: Funny that people will talk about a "lack of emphasis" on the Nemesis in the remake when he is actually shoved in your face multiple times as you are forced to fight him in enclosed spaces. That seems like emphasis to me. Being chased by the Nemesis in the original really isn't the grand and intricate experience which some people seem to be remembering.
Ha ha. Tell me you haven`t played the original without telling me you haven`t played it. You`re not fooling anyone. Stop pretending. Anyone who played the original knows you are just making this up. It sounds like you watched a speedrun and based your opinion on that.

Nah he's right. I played the original back when it came out and I agree fully with him. Remake > OG

I just want to say people are allowed an opinion, I am glad people are enjoying either or both versions.
