Leaked RE4 Remake level design

Take it with a grain of salt guys, but this could be it.
Judging from the direction Capcom is taking with RE3 Remake.

It's one of the rare game that will get better if a part of it gets cut (the island).
=> Expect Capcom to skip Castle instead

Love it! We need one for the enemies that will be cut also. I got suggestions for two: do paleheads, instead of Regeneradors/IMs, and Lickers in lieu of Garradors. Maybe with recolors since none will notice. Since Capcom doesn't like flying/insect-like enemies in their remakes, the Novistadors must go out. Right Capcom?

NEST 3 is perfect for RE4 remake...why not? Can we have a Police Station/City section? We can explore Leon's past in a hallucination for 3 hours with these pre-built areas, while getting rid of the Castle. Castle's too much work!

Furthermore, can't wait for Leon to use the modern remake staples like the bolt cutters, and fuses, while fighting against the same RE2 remake zombies (now called Ganados), with spanish goatees, and sombreros! All this assuming that the remake will still be based in a Hispanic setting...

Looks like Ghous N Ghosts. Which is actually a great way to add more value to the game. To get the key to the Jetski you have to replay the game from the start.

as far as i remember, not anywhere near as many or obvious. and they flattened her butt compared too some teenager in RE 4 lol.

Don't think the castle will get completely removed, just reworked a lot. Having played through RE4 recently, I can't help but admit that the castle is like 90% filler.

On top of that, design-wise, it's like they took a series of unrelated rooms and slapped them together. It's really disjointed and random. Knowing how Capcom is all about "realistic" environments these days, I can see an extensive redesign happening.

Lastly, the tone and atmosphere is largely at odds with the rest of the game. The village is mostly grimy and rustic, the island is mostly grimy and industrial, while on the other hand the castle is mostly clean and brightly lit. I'd like to see the general feel to fall more in like with the short Ashley segment...you know, dark lighting, dusty, claustrophobic design...

My guess: more caves in the village, castle will be compressed, mines will be lengthened, island won't have laser hallways.

They absolutely did not. You’re confusing how the jeans fit with what’s on the character model. Check out some mods.

Nah nah, it will be in Racoon City - Wasteland.

After the bomb fell Umbrella 2 opened up a new lab called "the institute" and the new RE4 will follow Leon (now Leona - the jeans wearing tank top sporting rough-around-the-edges action heroine) on an epic horror adventure to stop the S-Virus, an advanced robotic version of the T-Virus!

3 hours long modern take on the classic RE formula. If you pre-order you get Leona classic pretransition costume.
