Why Nicholai Ginovaef?
A nitpick, but isn't it kinda odd that they used first and family names of his from Anderson's movie, Perry's novel and Operation: Raccoon City, but not from original RE3 and Outbreak?

Sorry, but I think I don't get what you mean. That always has been Nicholai's name since the original RE3.

Mistake on my part indeed. See, he was originally named Nikolai Zinoviev, but in English localization they made him Nicholai Ginovaef, not sure why. I just forgot that such change was made in the original game too.
