My guess is Fluffly Manager needs to get updated as well, give it a few hours.

So glad to see topic like this. My mods on gun sounds, musics etc. have gone.
Even re-installing had no luck. I don't know what's wrong.
Maybe wait the modders to update I guess ?

wait or if you really need it now, down patch it. Best case is they rename some file and a simple unpack and rename then repack will fix it. Worst case is Capcom change it and now require the modder themselves to fix it. For people who have tons of mods, yikes.

It may not be that simple.

If whole files directory and names were changed, all mods will need a revision to file structiocture as a whole.

Even then, there may be files that would have to be completely remade (like meshes).

I don't think models have been modified, really doubt it. Ray tracing is done at rendering level and if everything worked perfectly with regular shaders, I see no reason for it not to work with ray tracing.

But even so, simple mods like DS4 button prompts should work, and they don't. And that's why I think it has more to do with the mod manager needing an update.

Fingers crossed regardless, cause if models and textures have been updated, then yeah, it's gonna take a while to update said mods.

Exactly what I feared happened! Now the game can be deleted, since I don’t see the point of replaying it with English voice acting and without mods, like many players. It's a shame that the era of Resident evil 2 remake modding is over, in exchange for updates that didn't really bring anything new.

what a shame Capcom! Why there is no Beta version so players would decide if they want Raytracing (DX12) or not??? I want my money back

I just got this game recently, tried to play it today with mods. Tragic.

Just came back again to get my fix of RES 2 and 3 and yeah updated fluffy and ray tracing somehow destroyed all these modders beautiful work. Glad I at least got a taste but wow how disappointing that a addition like RT that would have made many mods better instead broke them. Well RES 4 is coming so get on board while you can. but, we all know the new game mod trauma so no winning I guess.

as someone who plays heavily modded versions of bethesda games this is more like a minor inconvenience lol. when bethesda broke skyrim and fallout with new useless editions to make more money, now that was hell.

anyways from what i've read in this thread it seems people are having issues caused by ray tracing and dx12. my suggestion; have you tried installing the dx11_non_rt version? that fixed a game breaking bug and minor issues i was having.

You can right-click on the game after you buy it and it's in your library and go to Properties. Then go to the Betas tab and click on the drop down box and change it to "dx11_non_rt" and then close the box. Do this before installing the game and it'll install the version before the RTX patch was installed instead. This version will let you use mods (some mods were updated for the RTX patch but a very small percentage).
