RE3 remake just seems too linear
and it barely resembles the original game unlike re2 remake, sure the game is fine but it leads away from OG RE game design and favors many cutscene and small linear area's to get from point A to B
So glad i didnt pay full price, this just seems like a rushed remake that shouldve waited maybe another few years

B team made the game
they cut alot of content to finish the development faster
tagged on a soulless multiplayer to fill out the gab

what a great thing to do, ive never beaten re3 (ive beaten every other) but i can tell the original will still be the way to go, RE2 remake was a nice change but even there the cutscenes seemed to be less and less character development, and there doesnt seem to be a in between with re2 and re3, sad to see this suck so bad but at least carlos and the graphics are pretty cool, also just feels like they throw a crapton of zombies at you just to slow the pace of the already short game

I prefer it this way.

Re3 OG was linear too. The idea of this game is that you're always running while re2 you're figuring out what happened to the city.

One is an investigation while escaping and the other is being chased constantly by something that wants you dead.

the map in the original re 3 game had alot more areas to go
while in this remake they dumped it down.

not to mention the OG game actually had puzzles lol, i dont prefer the game being linear and it was rushed, like i said ive played the OG, i didnt beat it but i got far enough to know this barely resembles it at all, not to mention the worst part where jill grabs a massive rail gun and shoots nemesis but can barely carry her own weight across the entire game, and the fact that carlos went to rpd instead of jill bothered me too.

Even the zombies felt like crap in this game, took away the slow pace of the game and made me feel rushed by adding a story i barely cared about, and carlos was the only worth character because jills was lost in 1999

also those fake cheap nemesis moments where he chases you, mr.x actually chases you the entire game unlike nemesis

and the main part of re2 is to escape, not investigation, if anything this game couldve been treated better regardless and maybe had a mercenaries mode instead of the crap online that wasnt needed at all

all i gotta say it it took me more than 10 mins in my first area in the OG game to move on, in this game it too me 3 mins and about 4 hours to beat the game on hardcore, pretty sad actually, and i almost pre ordered this sad remake

I mean re4 was linear and that game has a cult following but i see where you're coming from since this is meant to be a remake of re3 nemesis and that game had a pretty big city area that you spend a lot more time in than the remake version

No B scenario and the removal of the tram=dead factory to laboratory kinda pissed me off. I am supposed to believe the lab is like in the sewers now? go away now Capcom
