And yes, Nemesis lost much of his menace in the Remake compared to the old RE3. He does grab and throw you around like nothing there too but he will kill you if you dont get up quick enough and start buttonmashing to escape his grip. Also he´s far more durable and won´t go down before you unload dozens of rounds into him.(even Magnum and grenade rounds)
And in regard to the BS plot armor in RE3 Remake, which lets Jill appear more like a Terminator, there is only one scene in the original, that I would say is absolute deadly regardless of the choice you make. It´s the part, where you arrive the Clock Tower area via Cablecar, where you start in the courtyard if you jump out of the window or inside Building if you pull the emergency brake.
You got me wrong. I didn't say he's bad as a boss difficulty. What I talk about is the cheesy plot. Remember the opening section when he break into Jill's room? He grabbed her neck instantly, then instead of breaking her neck, he just throw her into the ground. Then when she tries to reach the ladder, he grabs her head again, then threw her back into the building. I mean, yeah plot armor is there in every games/movies but Re is really cheesy.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy playing some installment of the series but just the gameplay, the story is just bad in a cheesy way.
Ah, didn't think you meant that in that context, but yea, it's the issue I have with all canon RE games, for this exact reason I prefer spin-offs like ORC because you're a regular soldier who can get infected and die, not a "hero" who never dies. It's much more on the realistic side, as much as it can be realistic with zombies in it.
I agree, god! I miss Silent hill, what a scary series.
In RE4 you burst zombie heads with spinning kicks LOL.
Or the entire prologue/tutorial from RE6 and the entire game in general.(although Leons campaign is somewhat more "serious" compared to the other 3)
6 is not cheesy, it's just bad. lol
I think the movies work for this same reason. Just dumb action movies with surprisingly deep lore if you look for it.
The movies are very, very, very bad. Guilty pleasure, but you can almost sense Paul Anderson's lack of respect for his own work.
And I get that. You won't get the same feeling of unease from not knowing what's behind the next corner, the indecision of choosing a route or the pressure of balancing resource management while watching a movie compared to playing a game.
Now if I could speak it I could watch 24:Japan.
