Animated zombies at 30 fps on PC ... why?
I wonder why zombies or effects like fire are left at 30fps in a game intended to run at 60 fps or more on PC.
Capcom please fix at least the zombie animations, which seem to move in slow motion.
I find it very inconvenient having to need Hex code modifiers to get something that should have been so immediately.

Agreed. Very lazy design.

yes
It's a known-issue.
Same thing in REmake2. It's jarring on the consoles too, looks really bad and "off".

its all down to consoles... there is a fix or patch somewhere though that removes these limitations on pc.

It's something they wanted to save resources on. But again, it's not because of consoles. The base PS4 can handle all 20 zombies in REmake2 from the starting location, each being fully animated, the game runs on 40-55 frames there. Same goes for gore. All those street level zombies can be dismembered, all body parts fall on the floor and don't go away.

I don't know why they bothered to put half animation zombies in a distance or even downtuned the gore system. Because consoles can handle it, and Lord Zeus knows that PC can obviously too.

MHW does the same, 2 years of universal negative feedback on this feature in every game they've released and they refuses to put an off switch in any of their games. And they pile on layers of tamper protection to keep anybody from turning it off. Capcom doesn't listen to feedback.

There's an easy hex edit you can do, literally 3 small values need to change.

Google it.

And if you mess it up, just verify your files and try again.

It's just an optimization thingy most likely because of better fps on consoles. If it was a bug, why should they keep that in the game at all. Just for teh luls? lol

good that i found this topic, just thought my system has a malfunction. Was the zombie issue already in RE 2 - Remake ? Can't remember it.

yes it was, but since re2 is indoors mostly, you don't see it in action. It happens to zombies in a distance.
Console Port.
