Denuvo is an awful DRM that shouldn't be used because in the long run it is gonna harm the PC gaming community just like SecuROM and StarForce. You in no way shape or form benefit from it and to act as if it existing is some kind of victory for the consumer is not only misguided but also harmful and ignorant.

Most DRM is harmful but at least Denuvo is being removed from games after the fact. And if it’s really about preservation and not “give me free ♥♥♥♥” then that’s what matters. So it’s not really the same as SecuROM.

I hope when Denuvo does close up shop eventually that people do continue to remove it from their software because otherwise it could end up causing the same problems as the other two I listed.

"Every game should be a glorified rental that can literally be turned off remotely!" Fixed it for you.

Companies have already re-released DRM-free versions of their games on other storefronts, yet they leave Denuvo in the Steam versions of those games. Companies don't care about you once they have your money.

Funny how most of the time these troll Denuvo threads are created by people who don't actually own the game.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Denuvo activation is a one-time thing, isn't it? After activating it once you can play it offline indefinitely, not that I'd know why anyone would wanna do that. I am the kind of person who throws a hissy-fit over Gaben's retarded weekly maintenance. But yeah, if you want to you can use Steam in offline mode indefinitely and the only games impacted are the ones with very strict 3rd party DRM or online-only games.

I "don't own" the game on this account. Am I a troll too?

Give it some time, RE2 had Denuvo removed less than 1 year after launch. Denuvo isn't a big issue in this game. RE2 ran pretty much the same with and without it. Some games can have issues with performance though.

I remember reading somewhere that a crack team accidentally uploaded a source code of their crack for a NFS game which used Denuvo(Not sure about the game) which that caused a lot of fighting on that crack site and ultimately killed it.

The main reason they were fighting ?
Because when those crackers released the source code of their crack, the Denuvo team could just download it and investigate this that how the crackers bypassed their program which then allowed them to completely upgrade it.

Guess Denuvo is stronger than ever now.

Nobody was talking about you so... you do you. I said the people who create these pro-Denuvo threads usually don't even own the games. Like this one: game not purchased, 1 VAC Ban, private profile, bait Denuvo thread... need anything else?

I absolutely love how every single time a deunvo topic pops up, future proof (a staunch anti-denuvo troll) will inevitably chip in, every single time with his usual tin foil nonsense. and even bumped the topic for it. No actual game discussion or anything else. just scrolls through threads and saw 'OHH! DEUNVO TOPIC *GORRILLA GRUNTS* I MUST POST!"

I guess because people are talking more about is the game worth the price, the length, things to actually do with the game, he hasn't had much chance at his baiting here since these topics have been extremely rare for this game so far.

Although this topic it self wasn't much better, because it does attract these cancerous tumors to come reply here. Wonder if the other one will show up pretty soon.
